Understanding Plans and Billing

Stack2X offers four plans to fit different team sizes and needs. Whether you're exploring the platform on your own or managing backups for a large team, there's a plan that works for you.

The Four Plans

Free

The Free plan is a great way to get started. It includes one connected instance, 1 GB of backup storage, and access for the owner only. You can create backups and run basic migrations to see how Stack2X works before committing to a paid plan.

Starter

The Starter plan is designed for small teams and individual developers who need more room. It includes up to 3 connected instances, 10 GB of backup storage, and seats for up to 3 team members. You also get access to scheduled backups and priority email support.

Pro

The Pro plan is built for growing teams. It includes up to 10 connected instances, 50 GB of backup storage, and seats for up to 10 team members. Pro adds advanced features like migration conflict resolution, selective component backups, and detailed activity logs.

Business

The Business plan is for larger organizations with demanding requirements. It includes unlimited connected instances, 200 GB of backup storage, and unlimited team members. Business adds audit logs, priority support with faster response times, and dedicated onboarding assistance.

What's Included in Every Plan

All plans -- including Free -- include the core Stack2X features:

  • Connect Supabase Cloud and self-hosted instances
  • Create manual backups
  • Run migrations between instances
  • Download backup files
  • Basic activity history

Paid plans unlock additional capabilities like scheduled backups, more storage, larger teams, and advanced tools.

Monthly vs. Yearly Billing

Paid plans are available on both monthly and yearly billing cycles. Yearly billing gives you a discount -- typically the equivalent of two months free compared to paying monthly.

You can switch between monthly and yearly billing at any time from your billing settings. If you switch from monthly to yearly, you'll be charged the annual rate immediately and receive a prorated credit for any unused time on your monthly plan.

Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade:

  1. Go to Organization Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Click the Billing tab.
  3. Select the plan you want to move to.
  4. Confirm the upgrade and enter payment details if needed.

Upgrades take effect immediately. You'll get instant access to the new plan's features and limits.

Downgrading Your Plan

You can downgrade at any time from the same billing page. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you keep full access to your current plan's features.

Before downgrading, make sure your usage fits within the lower plan's limits. If you have more connected instances, team members, or stored backups than the new plan allows, you'll be asked to reduce usage before the downgrade can complete.

One-Time Passes

For occasional needs that don't justify a higher plan, Stack2X offers one-time passes. These let you temporarily unlock specific features -- like extra storage or additional instance connections -- without changing your plan. One-time passes are available from the billing page and expire after 30 days.
