Account Setup and First Login

Getting started with Stack2X takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through creating your account, logging in, and finding your way around the dashboard.

Signing Up

Stack2X currently uses an invite-based signup system. If you have an invite code from your team or from the Stack2X team, head to the signup page and enter it along with your email address and a password.

If you don't have an invite code yet, you can request one from the Stack2X website. Invites are typically sent within 24 hours.

Verifying Your Email

After signing up, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link inside to confirm your email address. This step is required before you can log in. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or request a new verification email from the login page.

Your First Login

Once your email is verified, head to the login page and enter your credentials. You'll be taken straight to your dashboard -- this is your home base inside Stack2X.

Your Organization

When you first sign up, Stack2X automatically creates an organization for you. Think of an organization as your team workspace. It holds all your connected Supabase instances, backups, migrations, and team members in one place.

You are assigned as the owner of this organization, which gives you full control over settings, billing, and team management. You can rename your organization, invite team members, and manage permissions from the organization settings page.

If a colleague invited you, you'll be added to their organization instead. In that case, your role depends on what permissions they assigned to you.

The Dashboard

Your dashboard gives you a quick overview of everything happening inside your organization. Here's what you'll find:

Connected Instances -- A summary of the Supabase instances you've linked to Stack2X. If you haven't connected one yet, you'll see a prompt to get started.

Recent Activity -- A log of recent backups, migrations, and other actions taken by you or your team members.

Quick Actions -- Shortcuts to common tasks like creating a backup, starting a migration, or inviting a team member.

Updating Your Settings

Click on your avatar or name in the sidebar to access your personal settings. From there you can update your display name, change your password, and manage notification preferences.

For organization-level settings -- like billing, team members, and connected instances -- use the organization settings page, accessible from the sidebar.

What's Next

Now that your account is set up, the next step is connecting your first Supabase instance. This lets Stack2X read your project's structure and prepare it for backups or migrations. Head over to the Connecting Your First Instance guide to continue.
